Today we said goodbye to a dear friend: our beloved border collie, Cass.
Cass had been fighting a good fight but the bone tumors took over her body and quality of life. We were originally going to wait another week but Clark realized today was the day. She got her favorite meal of a cheeseburger and fries before we said goodbye. We buried her along with Thule's ashes this evening.
Cass joined Clark's life nearly 15 years ago and had been a most loyal and devoted friend. She was the dog that turned me into a dog lover and helped me see that keeping a dog indoors was not insane, but the best way to keep a dog.
We were truly blessed by having had Cass in our lives.
Adina and Clarke, my condolences. I remember reading about Cass on Day One of visiting this site. What a joy that you had each other in your lives. Thinking of you!
Adina and Clark, so sorry that you had to let her go so soon after loosing Thule. 15 years is a long time and I know you must be heartbroken. I am sure Cass and Thule are romping around in Doggy heaven now. They lived a wonderful life and now they are together again. My thoughts are with you both.
Adina and Clark...I am so sorry to hear that you have lost another beloved family member! Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. You will always have the wonderful memories of Cass and Thule to make you smile and help you through the bad times. Take care...Sandy and Bailey
Adina, we are sorry for your loss! Thule will have company in doggie heaven! And we are so glad Cass came into her life to give all of us, crazed doodle owners, GUIDANCE! Thank you, Adina!!!
