Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Five weeks ago, after an over 2 year bout of unemployment, my husband found a job in MA with a travel company who specializes in deluxe river cruises for the over 50 set in Boston. We were thrilled as I have been dying to return to the east coast and this job held great promise. Disaster struck yesterday in the form of a phone call from my DH telling me that he had been let go. We are devastated and I cannot stop crying when I think about returning to that awful life of unemployment--the job search, the resumes, the lack of money and health insurance, the arguments and stress. I am overwhelmed. I wrote about it in my blog this morning (www.thinkingsoup.blogspot.com) but I had to share with my DK friends since you were all so kind to me when I announced our great new opportunity. Thanks for listening...as always.

So sorry to hear this. Here's hoping the perfect opportunity comes along very soon. :)
ah man. I'm so sorry. Sometimes my usual "everything happens for a reason" response just doesn't cut it. how unfair life can be sometimes. I'm so sorry this has happened. I hope the perfect job for your husband is right around the corner. I'm sending all the positive energy I can your way today.
oh dear, it sounds like there are alot of us in a similar position. Hang on to everything positive you have in your life, and try not to let it get to you too much xxoo
I'm so sorry. I'm thinking of you guys and hoping something even better comes along soon.
:o(
Devastating news for sure. The good thing is you now know you survived it once and you will do it again. I have a feeling things are starting to look up and he will be employed once again. Wherever you end up will be fine as long as you are all together.
Best Wishes!
What rotten people to treat you like that. I really feel with for you in this situation. I do hope that things will turn around very soon and I wish you all the strength to get through this.
Carol, You have expressed my sentiments exactly. Praying that there will be resurrection news for everyone.
I am so sorry for all of you! I pray that your husband finds work soon. God bless all of you!
It's so sad to read about so many good DK friends who are finding themselves in this uncertain place in their lives. It seems to me that the "not knowing what is ahead" is the most painful part. Sending you all prayers for better days on this Easter Sunday.
