Haley and The Turtle

DH took Haley out last night to play fetch with his ball.  Haley found something more interesting than the ball.  After letting him sniff the turtle I told him to "leave it".  He did good until I went back inside.  DH said he went back to investigating the poor turtle since I wasn't there to see what he was doing!

This is so cute! And it's much better that Haley be interested in turtles than grubs, lol! At least the turtle is too big to eat!

@ Deanna - I don't think it was an escapee from a neighbor.  I live in the country with wetlands containing a couple of small ponds below my house; across the road woods containing swamps; and a river runs near by.  We also have foxes, coyotes, goundhogs, opossums, raccoons, deer, wild turkey, bobcats, cotton tail rabbits and an occasional black bear but rarely see any squirrels in our yard (despite having 5 pecan trees)!

@ Jennifer - I would loved to have seen Chloe with the turtle statue.

We've had our share of jack rabbits, squirrels, gophers, etc. wandering across our property, but NEVER a turtle!!  Was it an escapee from a neighbor??
