Happy 4th Birthday Sheba!!!

I want to wish a Happy Birthday to my beautiful, sweet, and smart Christmas baby, Sheba. I couldn't have known how much our lives would change the day I brought you home.

Sheba is the welcomer of fosters, always taking them under her wing and helping them feel at ease.
She's a great sister to Duke. Lots of mornings she greets him with kisses, which he doesn't seem to care for. ; ) Duke is a bit afraid of dogs and he tends to prefer people to dogs. Sheba is one of the few dogs that Duke has ever played with. Thank goodness Sheba can bring out the playful side of Duke. When Duke is naughty and goes where he shouldn't outside, I tell Sheba, "Go find Duke"and off she goes to show me where he is. Sheba is always up for a game of fetch, or to go out to the woods with her dad to "work". Work usually consists of sniffing, digging holes trying to find moles, chasing squirrels, rolling on smelly things, following Dad around on the 4 wheeler, jumping in the pond to go fishing and swimming, pulling large branches out of the pile of sticks to burn and then settling down for a nice long stick chewing.  

Sheba has brought so much fun and happiness into all of our lives and I don't know what we'd do without our sweet Sheba.

Thanks for all the sweet birthday wishes everyone! We all relaxed on Christmas day and didn't do much to celebrate, just a few treats and lots of affection. Nothing we could have done would have compared to the surprise she got the day after her birthday. Sheba was THRILLED with all the snow we got yesterday. She and Duke played for quite a few hours in the snow and hand some major snow boots! Dad took them in the shower to spray them down with some warm water. They laid in front of a warm, cozy fireplace to dry off. It was a good day! : )
