Hey Jack, Murphy and I wanted to wish you a really happy birthday today! I can't believe you're SIX years old now....Mom says that's like 40 or 50 in "people years". I think that's why you're so much smarter than most of us here on DK. We're just kids....but you've "been around"...and you know "stuff". You're kind of our hero, Jack. Mom always tells us how good you are....it's "Jack does....", "Jack's such a good boy", "Jack wouldn't do that", "Why can't you be more like Jack", "I'm going to tell Jack's Mom and he won't be happy with you". In spite of all that, we still "love ya". I hope you've got something great planned for today....maybe a salmon dinner! I'm feeling a little bad that I ate all your special birthday treats, Jack. Mom was pretty upset with me. I think she did send you something else though, but you may not get it until tomorrow because you live pretty far away. What's up with that little Shih Tzu dog that's staying with you? Plus she's a girl! Plus she isn't even a Doodle! WTD! I'm not that worried about it because I know you're the "boss" and your Mom loves you the best. I hear that you're being pretty nice to her and you're even sharing your bed....that's because you're "mature". Good job, JD! So have a really great day today. You and your Mom are such a HUGE help to us. Hey, it's because of you guys that Mom gives me "home cooking"! Look at all the Doodles with allergies that you've been able to help. Actually, JD was slightly mistaken; some of the products come from New Zealand and other politically correct countires, lol. But really good stuff! 11 lbs of Ziwi Peak costs $100. I never got the price of the patties, because I looked at the bag and the feeding guidelines only went up to a 30 lb dog. When I asked about that, the salesgirl smiled ruefully and said, "Yeah, because it would be too expensive to feed to a bigger dog." So I didn't even ask, lol.

Gee willigers, food that costs more than Orijen! But what a lot of politically correct goodies in one store. Both of you must have been in heaven. Does that mean that the beef tendons are now made in the US or Canada? Watch out JD, I sense an austerity program in your future.

I had a great day! First we went to a special store where everything they sell is made in North America, and they had treats that were so yummy, even I liked them! The lady gave me something that looked like a hamburger but tasted even better, called Stella & Chewy's, and I loved them!!!! Mom says maybe I can have them for dinner if we win the lottery...I hope we win it, 'cause I like them much better than Orijen!
And I got a beef trachea, and a bag full of those twisty beef tendons I like, and new chicken jerky that's made in Iowa, and a big rolled up chew thing, and two tennis balls, and a sample of another yummy new food called Ziwi Peak that Mom says I can have for dinner some time if we win the Mega-Millions drawing! And I got fresh salmon for dinner, and Mom played ball with me for a long time like she said she would!
And then today I got your package, Guinness, and I got some more treats and some really cool balls!!! My favorites, and Mom said you picked her favorite colors, too!!!! Thank you so much, and tell your Mom and Murphy thank you, too!
And I got all these great birthday wishes from all my DK friends, that makes me the happiest of all!!!!!!!

Yes Karen, that was one of the photos that I took at your neighbor's house. If you remember they weren't cooperating very well. Ha Ha That was the best picture of the three of them together. Next year we'll come and visit again and I'll be sure to have the "good" camera with me! Give Jack a great big squeeze from us!
