Harlow is Growing

It has been a month since Harlow joined our pack. When she arrived, she weighed 21 pounds and stood the same height as our beagles; approximately 16” at the shoulder. I weighed and measured her today. She now weighs 29 pounds and stands 19” at the shoulder. Cleo our indoor cat has finally come out from under the bed and is helping reinforce the “Leave It” command by smacking Harlow if she gets too rambunctious.

Harlow will be 5 months old tomorrow. Her breeder said she should weigh around 50 pounds as an adult.

How old is Harlow? We have had Zack for 3 weeks now. He is 14.5 weeks old and went from 20.4 to 24 pounds in the first two weeks. Our breeder estimated between 50 and 60 pounds. I think I will be lucky at 65.

Isn't it amazing how fast they grow? Sometimes I wonder if their bones ache they are growing so fast. Our cat has batted Gus on the nose several times, but she never uses her claws. He just thinks it's great fun!

Ya abby too. I just weighed her today - 25lbs! But she is 5 months old.

They do grow so fast. The cute puppy thing just doesn't last long enough for me.
