HERE WE GO AGAIN - ANOTHER FAMILY FOSTER - WELL SORT OF....

My daughter was visiting a friend night before last when she noticed this little dog hiding under the porch.  The poor puppy had paint, poo, and burrs all over his coat.  She took him home for the night and then to the vet the next morning to see if he was chipped -he wasn't.

Then she went to the do-it-yourself dog wash where she washes her lab, and tried to wash this little guy.  She couldn't get him clean so she wrapped him in a towel and asked the groomer there to wash him and clip the fur around his face.  She certainly felt sticker shock when she found out how much that set her back! But just look how cute he is  - all 10 pounds 11 ounces of him.

My daughter and her lab miss our last foster so much that she is considering keeping this little guy. So she went back to the vet today and so he could have a check-up and shots.  He is healthy, unneutered, has a hernia which can be fixed when he is neutered.  The vet estimates he is a 6 - 8 month old Lhasa Apso/poodle mix.

She put posters up in the area where he was found and she got an obviously bogus call from someone who just wanted a free 'designer dog.'

I know how much she misses Sunny (now Sundance), because she saw him through 2 months of Kennel Cough, neutering, infection, housebreaking. But I really hope she finds a great home for this little guy - tentatively named Samson.  She is not really in a position to have a second dog - either financially or time-wise, but I know if she keeps him, she will make it work for both dogs, unlike so many who dump their dogs in shelters because it becomes a bit 'hard' to work out.

It's so nice of her to help him. Whether she keeps him or finds him another home, the little guy is already much better off thanks to her.

What a wonderful daughter you have. I wish the two of them a long and happy life together (I just know she will keep him!).

I admire her for doing this however it works out, she is clearly a kind soul like her Mom.

He is adorable, so small though, I would be afraid of stepping on him.

Samson is adorable, and I know your DD will make sure he ends up in the right home, whether that's with her or elsewhere. Regardless of where he ends up, she saved his life, bless her!

Thank you for your positive support.  Joanne, from now on I will assume there is something nasty or scary when I hear sounds from under a porch - especially at Halloween!  This little guy is just so adorable.  I know her time and financial situation, so I hope a good furever family comes a long, but with the way she misses Sunny/Sundance, I'll bet he will be a permanent member of the family.

What a cute little guy!  He is so lucky to have your daughter as a guardian angel.
