Holly and Peli

I should never be surprised at how good our Goldendoodle, Holly, is to our Maltese but, every once in a while she astounds even me.

 

I was preparing the dog's kibble topping (beef, carrot and sweet potato) and Holly and our little blind Maltese rescue, Peli were right by me.  I accidently dropped two pieces of cooked carrot which is one of Holly's favorite treats.

 

Holly ran up to the nearest piece but, when she saw that little blind Peli was sniffing around trying to find it, Holly backed off and let him have that piece.  She ate the piece furthest from her and let Peli have to other piece.

Holly's giving and caring personality is part nature and part nurture - her mom and dad have shared so much with so many rescues/fosters.  Holly is a great girl (although I think you already knew that)!
