Holly has had such a great summer so far! We have officially made it a month with no diarrhea!! I'm so excited about this. Our new vet did blood testing and everything came back normal. He decided she either has food allergies or just a very sensitive stomach. We've had her on a digestive supplement all month which seems to be helping a ton. Now we're weaning her off to see if she can stay free of diarrhea without the enzyme. If not we may have to keep her on it long term. She still has mildly itchy skin but it's much better than it was.

We've also had a great summer at the lake trying to teach her to swim. The first time was pretty rough, she couldn't keep her rear end up so she would sink and frantically wail her paws. DH helped by putting his arm under her belly. The last couple of times she has done MUCH better. DH and I used treats in the lake to have her swim back and forth to us, and she did so well. This weekend we're going to try again, she seems to love it so far!

Unfortunately, we had flooding in our finished basement, which meant we had to move all of the furniture from two bedrooms and a living room to our main floor. We have construction men and plumbers coming and going constantly the past week and a half and it's really put Holly on edge. She's started to bark frantically every time the front door opens or the doorbell rings. Our main level is so crowded she doesn't have much room to roam right now, but we're getting a new sump pump and carpet downstairs so hopefully we can get everything moved back down soon.

Overall, it's been a great summer and I hope the rest only gets better, I can't imagine summers without our Holly :).
