Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Just a quick blog to say I finally got home last night and OMD what a reunion! As soon as the taxi dropped me off I bolted up the stairs and down the hall to my apartment where both of the dogs were with one of the sitters (and her doodle was there too). Well I burst through the door yelling "DOOOOOOOOODDDDDLLLLEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". There was a brief moment of surprise and then all heck broke loose.
Winston was so happy and excited he couldn't contain himself and started running around in circles. Sophie was all over me and I swear I have never received such a thorough facewahing as I did last night. Winston finally gathered himself enough to come over and join Sophie in the doodle kisses and hugs and we were all sooo happy. My friend had to hold Hank back from interfering in our reunion but as soon as she let him loose I then had three big doodles clammering all over me. Nothing in the world could make me happier than this! I love my doodles so much and never want to leave them again!
Mind you, all of 2 minutes later, they completly forgot about me and went back to palying with Hank and all their toys. :-\ since Andrea left with Hank, Sophie has been a little deflated. I think she misses her BF being around. After all, he is a handsome ginger doodle a couple months younger than she. What doodlette can resist that?
Winston's Uncles who looked after him said that he was a perfect gentleman and they had a hard time giving him back. On the other hand, my friend who had Sophie said her and Hank had a blast together, and then began recounting all the items they destroyed together - luckily nothing of value! She said she doesn't know how I can manage with two dogs, and that it is sooo much more work. I guess it is, but I just adore them so much that taking care of them is a pleasure. I cannot believe how much I missed them! I love my doodles to the ends of the earth and back and even more!
There's nothing like home sweet home!

Wow that sounds like a great reunion!!! I can totally picture it!!!!
Sweet! There just isn't anything like that Doodle welcome.
So glad you're back home with your Doodles....don't you just love those wet, sloppy kisses!
Sounds like a wonderful reunion!
What a welcome home - doodle style.
So glad you're back home with the doodles, and clearly, so are they!
My DH and I get so excited when we are on our way to pick up Gracie Doodle at the ranch where we leave her when we travel. She is so excited and jumps all over. Her training goes right out the window with big leaps right up on us with her paws on our shoulders while we get a complete face wash. We have to drive about 50 minutes to pick her up and all the while we are talking about how much we have missed her and then talk about all the cute and funny things she does. It is amazing how much of our hearts are owned by our Doodles! Your homecoming was the best!
Welcome back! Sounds like the perfect reunion!
I've been reading your updates from my phone and couldn't post, but today I have to tell you how sorry I was for you to have to be separated from the doodles. I'm glad you are home safe and sound. I know that joy of doodle reunion. It's the best!!!
YAY! Happy for you and your doods!
