Sheila is growing so fast, but it seems like she is all legs, alot like when my daughters were pre-teens. And she is getting braver also when we walk at the park. My DH laughs though because is Sheila gets frightened, like when she was sniffed by loose boxers, she runs behind my DH legs, then when the "danger" has passed, she barks at the offenders. She is fine at daycare with the other little dogs, and when she comes home we call her "dead dog" because she hardly moves for the rest of the day. Next weekend she will board at the daycare for two nights, so we have been practicing. We have to attend an out of town wedding. Sheila's favorite area of the house is the master closet. Oh what a cornucopia for a puppy. I keep trying to get a snap of her in the hamper, but she is too quick. She is a snatch and run expert, wouldn't you think she'd get bored w/ her hit and run antics over a sock or undergarment. I try to keep that door closed, but I keep her in the bathroom w/ me when I take a shower and she invariably finds something to snatch. She makes new discoveries everyday, like today she found dryer lint. Oh joy!! And now she knows to try to hide her treasures in her mouth, her crate, her extra dog beds.
But she is so joyous every minute of every day it is just so much fun. She loves to feel the wind in her face in the carseat now (used to be afraid to have the window open), turns in circles and gets the zoomies and flirts w/ my DH when he comes home. It's been awhile since anyone has swooned over him when he comes home from work!! He eats it up and now even cooks the liver for Sheila bc it makes me sick to look at it.
Sheila has the worst bedhead I've ever seen in the am's or after naps. She rolls on her back when she sleeps and when she wakes up, the hair on top of her head is like tilted to one side like a mohawk. I spend more time brushing this soft adorable fleece coated dog than I do my own hair. I will really miss the puppy hair, I think it makes them irresistable.
So Sheila has just overtaken our household. And we are so grateful.
