Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hey doods. Lady P here.
So what can a doodle do to get a fence around here? So mom and dad got us this new house with a really big yard and guess what doods? I have to be put on a leash or attached to that pole while mom and dad are outside! Dood they won't let me run on my own!
It was getting old, so I decided to pull one over on daddy. Saturday night, he was down in the basement taking the recycling out and dood, the second he opened the door next to the garage, I flew out! Little did he know I was lurking in the basement waiting for my freedom!
I did a few zig-zag zoomies in the back yard, up the hill, down the hill, back up to the woods, back down. Then dad turned around and said "I am going inside Peri, do what you want". Well that scared me and I ran to the backdoor to look for mom. Thank goodness she was there and let me in. She wasn't very happy with me though, but still gave me a hug and a high-5 for coming back.
So my question is, how do I get them to put one of those fence, gate-thingies up? Mom said something about "saving" for one that is "pretty". What the dood? Can I have a treat sale or something? I would sell some tennis balls if mom and dad would buy me a fence. Geeeessshhhh.
Any tips appreciated.
Luv your friend Lady Peruna, aka Peri.

Hey, Peri, I'm pretty sure a fence is high on your mom and dad's priority list! Be patient! The humans have this stuff called money, and it takes lots of it to get good things like houses and fences, not to mention antlers!
Your mom never let you down before, I'm pretty sure she's going to come through with a fence, too. In the meantime, be on your best behavior and it might happen faster!
Your friend,
Jackdoodle
Thanks doods. I do get a few walks a day! I think I must be lucky doods.
Kim can you send me your old fence?????
Sorry to hear about the no fence, Peri. Maybe you could learn to never ever leave the yard? It would be really hard though. What if there was a squirrel, or a lizard, or the mailman came. Or, oh goodness, what if another dog came without your permission. We have a dog friend that never ever leaves his yard, we have to go up on his grass to say hello. He is pretty old though, so maybe that's why.
On the other hand you must get to go for walks a really lot. We don't always get a walk everyday if Mom is busy or her back is bad. What does that mean anyway? How can a back be naughty? So look on the bright side - lots and lots of walks.
