As many of you know I have three sons. 22, soon to be 20 and 18. Needless to say there have been a few girlfriends over the years. I usually get very close to them and I am the one who cries when the relationship ends. I even felt so bad once I secretly met with one for lunch a couple of times because I got so close to her. My oldest son met a new girl in the late winter that I hadn't met for awhile (he was away at school) . In asking him about her he revealed she didn't like dogs. Wait did I hear that correctly? What? OK not good. I said to myself well that is just because she hasn't met a doodle. So when she finally arrived I was surprised that in fact it was true. How could she not be in love with Achilles? I didn't cry when he broke it off with this one. Fast forward to summer and two of my boys have new girlfriends. Time to meet my oldest son's new girlfriend. I was running late and was not home when they arrived. I walked into my living room and there was Achilles on her lap and they were nose to nose. She looked up at me and said "He is the cutest dog I have ever seen". I looked at my son and mouthed I give her a 10!

LOL, I give her a 10 too! I always like people more when they see how amazing Darwin is. Anyone who can look at my pup's adorable fluffy face and not love him is just weird!

I give the girl a thumbs up for admitting to it though.  I get sick of people that say what is the "correct" answer only to find out later that they didn't fess up, I give her points for honesty but it a good thing that she has moved on because lets be honest - the doodle is most important!  LOL  I am not a person that loves EVERY animal - I never have been. While I love every doodle I see - I do not love or even like every dog.

10 is right!  My sister definitely looks to her chihuahua for help when dating. Generally speaking, if Charley doesn't like a guy, it's because he's an a-hole anyway!  Her newest guy sounds great, they have a ton in common and although Chuck was standoffish at first, she walked into the room the other day to find him letting new guy pet him (huge deal for Chuck!).

I have a hard time trusting people that do not like animals. My best friends LOVE animals.  DH clearly LOVES animals. Family LOVES animals.
