My new gardener's name is Finn. I did not get my garden cleaned up in the fall so all my dead plants are still sitting there. We won't go into why they didn't get done. (procrastination) So I guess Finn has decided to help me out. He is breaking off the dead plants but unfortunately he is shredding them into pieces and tracking them all over the house. See for yourself.......pic attached. Well I didn't like this mess so I decided it was time to go and clean the garden which I did. Again, Finn is helping me by digging new holes for when I start planting again. The only problem is now I have mud tracked all over the house. Not sure yet which is worse but now I have extra cleaning to do and no time for gardening so I guess I'll let Finn do it.

Can you send him down here? we have lots of dead plants due to the cold here, and neither of mine are interested in helping clean up the dead stalks. Oh they do like to dig the holes though...And I am sure I too will end up falling and doing some kind of physical damage to myself very soon if I don;t filll them soon...

If you weren't so far away I would send over my 2 gardeners to help Finn. They are done in our garden and waiting that I plant everything in spring again. :)

I too love to garden or I did,

now I would just as soon grass it over, garden in containers and spend my time playing with Quincy instead. We have a fenced back yard but there are too many things for the dog to eat so I never leave him out unsupervised. He is especially fond of the bamboo stakes I use for holding up my plants. We also have a fish pond in the back yard and I am afraid he will accidentally fall in.
