Our friend has a darling little Maltese male that she has sold to a lady in upstate New York.  Judy and I have the puppy now and are training it to use pee-pee pads. The lady was going to fly to San Diego from New York to pick up the puppy but. her mom is not feeling well and she cannot make the trip.

The lady is quite wealthy and owns a horse farm in upstate New York.  She offered me first class airline tickets plus two days in a New York City hotel if I would fly the puppy from San Diego to NYC.  I am also going to stay a day or so on her horse farm as a guest.

I am not used to mixing with such high rollers but, since I originally came from Brooklyn, this is an opportunity to visit the City once again free of charge. I am pretty excited.

I'm envious of the visit to the horse farm too. Do you need a driver with doodles?

You have my mouth watering as well!  My husband was just up in the city in November and was cruel enough to send me a picture from his cell phone of the HUGE pastrami sandwich he had just finished at Carnegie Deli! LOL  I just correct myself....it was a photo NOT of the sandwich but of the EMPTY plate! LOL

Enjoy every minute and every BITE! LOL

Have a great trip!  It will be fun to meet and spend time with the pup's new owners and I'm sure you will mix just fine.

Richard, I'm going to guess that you know about Katz's Deli...IMHO the all-time BEST. on the lower east side.....Houston Street I believe.  Famous for the Meg Ryan faked "O" scene in "When Harry Met Sally"....."I'll have what SHE'S having" LOL      Have a wonderful time!

My favorite foods in NYC are from the wonderful Jewish delis... corned beef on rye bread with a kosher pickle.  I also like the sandwiches in the Irish oriented Blarney Castle chain of bars.  I am eclectic in my food tastes - one thing about NYC, if you cannot get a certain food there, it probably doesn't exist.

The horse ranch is in Bedford new York which is in the spit of Westchester County,  New York State that is north of Connecticut.
