In memory of Thule and in honor of her life, let's all make sure we hug our doods today! And remember that life is just that much sweeter with our family - human and furryfolk alike. Go home and hug-a-dood or chi, or lab, etc.....

And also remember to keep your hearts open and thinking of Clark, Adina, Cass, Rosco and Natalie. It is because of them, and especially their first doodle, Thule, that we have this wonderful network of DK friends.

I think Rose's idea is wonderful. Even if we have been and will be voting, we can pause and think of Thule while we do it. That makes a lasting memory.

I too have been thinking of all of us doing something for Clark and Adina. My brother has a friend who does wonderful paintings of dogs from a digital photo and I think it would be such a nice gift for them. With all of us, it would not take us long to raise the money and I could check with her to see how soon she could get one done. I just think something like a portrait of Thule would mean so much to both of them. Please check it out and see what you think.

Thule was the "middle child" in her doggy family. Cass is the big sister, and Rosco is Adina's first baby, the youngest of the three dogs and the only male. I know it's hard to be the middle child in any family (because my sister tells me), but Thule seemed quite content with her place in the pack and didn't seem to have a jealous bone in her body. I always had a special feeling for her because of that. How about you? Any middle kids here?
