Riley is pretty much a wimp, as far as with other dogs go.  For the most part he would rather visit people, than run and tumble with other dogs.  There are a few exceptions to that, he must be in the mood I guess.  BUT!  We had some critter activity on the other side of our fence the other night.  Probably, a raccoon.  He went nuts, wanted to get back to where the action was.  Glad he wasn't able to, as I have seen the size of at least one of them.  Later, he was in his room, I was in the back still checking things out: and there was some critter chatter.  Not loud as I barely heard it.  Riley, came charging out of his room and wanted to and check it out.  He must have a hunting mode switch, that blocks his wimpness mode.

Wilson is a big wonderful huggable wimp too ! ! !!  The little, little dogs like Yorkies, he is afraid of, and when we walk on sticks he is like what is that what is that!!! To top it off we are getting cement poured for driveway, garage and patio, he will not pee in the back when the workers are there and one of them called him a CHICKEN !!

I said no he is just a gentle giant doodle !!  He got my Irish going just a little but I want that patio to look nice so I didnt show I was upset !

Yeah Daisy is good for a huge bark fest on the other side of the glass, she cowers at the sight of a rabbit when her feet and it's feet are 50 yards away.

You can take the Doodle out of the country, but you can't take the hunting genes out of the Doodle!

Side Note:

Keep in mind that a leaf caught in a spider web and swaying in the breeze freaks Riley out!.  Wondering, what he would do if he actually came face to face with a critter? I am sure the wimp mode switch would be activated.

Glad Riley couldn't get to the raccoon - we have them around here, and except for "Rocky" (the disabled one that occasionally visited our "cat house" to chow down), they can be pretty mean!!

LOL!! That is funny! I don't think Tara has a hunting mode switch. She smelled something "funny" in the backyard last week and came running for the door!!  Maybe her wimpiness switch is stuck in the on position!! That's okay though because some of the raccoons around here are probably 60 pounds!!  Riley's one brave boy!!

That's funny-our dogs would rather see people also. Good thing he didn't get to it!!!

It's located just behind the left ear! It can get stuck on the on mode for extended periods of time after the first whiff of a predator!
