When I took Haley out for the third time this morning to poo (first two times were failures) we had been invaded by a huge flock of seagulls. They were in three of the fields surrounding my property. As Haley and I moved around the yard the seagulls took to the air moving away from us but flying over head to do so.
Haley freaked. He kept trying to run while looking up, back and over his shoulder. I kept saying " whoa" and he would stop and then try to run again. Finally we got to his poop place and he dropped his bottom and did his business. Poor guy must have had the $h#t scared out of him!

Yikes! That's way too many gulls! Glad Haley finally got to take care of business and escape. :)
Thanks BG. Haley says Gavin would be his SUPER HERO!
I will send Gavin over. He loves to chase those pesky seagulls at the cottage. He runs right into the water after them. Tell Haley he will be ok :)
Wow what a lot of seagulls! I don't blame Mr. Haley for running!
That is too funny!
Poor Haley. He must have thought he took Marnie's place in Hitchcock's movie.
LOL...poor Haley!! He thought he was in an Alfred Hitchcock movie :)
OMD that's a lot of seagulls! I'd freak too Mr. Haley!
Seagulls can have remarkably aimed and prodigious poop--once I was by the water with three friends and a seagull managed to get all four of us with a single blast. So I don't blame Haley at all for running!
This is a new phenomena, seagulls inland. We see them here in parking lots pecking at puddles. It always reminds me of the Peter Beagle novel "A Fine and Private Place". (Anyone who doesn't know why, I highly recommend it, lol.)
I wish that your seagulls would visit my yard. Now that it has gotten so cold and icy at night, I've eliminated JD's evening walk, and he just will not poop in the yard. :(
