I've Got Big Boy Teeth - And I'm Not Afraid To Use Them!

We've been talking this week about indestructible toys, and I was thinking that with Guinness nothing is indestructible (except the heavy duty Kong). I thought I'd share the toys he's managed to destroy in the past two weeks. It usually only takes a couple of hours before I have to take the toy away...he gets so mad when he sees me throw in in the garbage when there's still stuffing left to be eaten. Here's the picture of the latest round of ruined toys...

Roo has the same chewing abilities as Guiness. He even tore open the large Kong to get the frozen peanut butter. Licking was taking much to long. So far he has not destroyed any of the large zogoflex toys. He does chew up Antlerz, but it takes him much much longer than to decimate a hard nylabone. My sympathies to you and your wallet!

What a cute little pile!!! Haha. I do think Guinness is such a hoot! I had one dog, Sunny, who was a real destroyer of toys. I used to find my daughters' Barbies hands and feet in the residue if you get my drift. She got pickier as she got older, like would just remove eyes out of stuffed bears. I would let her see me sew some of them back together and at first she'd just open them up and I'd say no. That worked somewhat. She gradually quit tearing pell mell when she was about four. Then she just carried her "babies" around with her. Constantly. Better toys than furniture though, right? Guinness is just full of energy, brains and doodlesness. I love him. P.S. Someday, the stuffing pics will be sweet reminders of what was. . .

I sympathize with you. Ringo can not have anything plush, fabric, or similar, stuffed or not (i.e., no skinneeeez) as he will consume them, not just ruin them. I am getting ready to try the Egge. Has anyone tried that? I did a search on the site a while back and didn't find anything but there are a few you-tube clips that make it look fun, yet indestructible....may be for outdoors only though??

Oh I forgot one more remaining toy: nylabone.

Callie is down to an antler, a marrow bone, and several toys that are just empty sacs of plush (without stuffing or squeakers). She loves her empty, limp piggy and hot dog more than the likes any other of the toys.

We don't have stuffing toys at our house anymore either. I just got her a canvas "Big mean kitty" toy and so far she can't get a hole in it...but she's still trying :)

Jackdoodle is not a chewer but I sympathize. I once had a 9-month old foster here who chewed up most of Jack's toys and then actually starting chewing up the basket I keep them in!

HAHAHA! I should have done this with Peri's toy box. We went from 30+ plush toys (many of Taquitos that I have had for 5 years) to about 5. I can tell you what is left: zogoflex ball, 3 skineezes (no stuffing), antler and a homemade water bottle in a sock she could care less about. LOL

Oh my goodness! He ate the wubba? I was going to get Timbow one for Christmas! Thought it would be great for him to cuddle with while I'm gone. Now I'd be too worried that he'd eat it! Thanks for the heads up. Sorry about all of your eaten toys! :)
