Just found out that Duncan is a "miracle" puppy

I emailed the breeder that I got Duncan from on his 1st birthday to give her an update and send my holiday card. She asked if I could send his pics to the "guardian momma" of his mom Maggie.
Well today, Duncan's momma's "momma" emailed me and told me the story of his litter.
Apparently there were 5 total but 2 weeks early 2 pups were miscarried leaving only 3 and then a week later she had the remaining three but they lost another that day leaving only 2, Duncan and his brother. I was always curious....
I'm getting some baby pics of him and his brother and I got to hear stories of how "inquisitive" he was as a pup. I got him at 12 weeks so they really got to see his personality shape. I feel so super lucky to have him and now I know why.
