Lady Peri is doing so well...she graduated from puppy obedience on Saturday! We are going to start the next level of training with her: "Basic Family Manners", where she will get better about walking through a group of people, not jumping, etc... I do think we will take her on to Canine Good Citizen level of certification once she gets older. She yearns to learn! LOL
I won't bore you with a long blog, but I do want to put some snippets about Peri's progress, likes/dislikes, etc..

Excerpts from Peri's diary (ha):

Big brother Taquito is awesome. I do whatever he does, but I still don't understand why he steals my bully stick when he always gets one himself. How can a chihuahua fit two in his mouth at once???

I loooove my friends at doggy daycare! Rocco the Welsh Corgi and Murphy the German Shephard are my favorites! Mom and dad take me there most Fridays as a treat at the end of the week.

I know how to sit, stay, lie down, do doggy pushups, go to "my place" (aka the marble by the fireplace), shake, roll over, give kisses, and come as soon as mommy or daddy call me. I am working on the loose leash walking but I just get way too excited on walks!

I love to roll onto my back, smile and try to get a toy closer to me. This is very challenging to do - it is hard to see when I am upside down, on my back :)

I have tried to jump off the balcony - mom and dad have to really watch me. You see, my friend Max walks past and I cannot contain myself! He is a 1-year old wheaten terrier and he is another best friend. I love him soooo much.

I am trying so hard to be a good girl at night. Maybe I will be able to join Taquito in bed soon!

I heard mom mention some appointment for me on September 18th. I hope I get to do something fun!!!

Lady P

PS: the 18th appointment is Peri's date to get spayed :(

Sooo cute!!! She is getting sooo big. I wish Cimmy would come when I call. When training she comes great, but... Just like one of my children they don't come when i call either. Love the name, Puppy Push Ups. Cimmy is great at this, too. Sometimes she tries to anticipate my "sit" from a down. She is always so pleased to please me. Aren't they so cute. Hope the surgery goes well. Cimmy's won't be until October. The dr. wants her to be well for awhile before taking that step.We have until Oct. 19th. Should work fine. Will be thinking about Lady P on the 18th.

Thanks for the comments everyone....
A doggy push up is a quick sequence of sit, down, then back up to sit. It is harder than you think for a 4-5 month old puppy! No treat until the end!

Glad to hear Peri's doing great with classes and you are going to have her CGC tested. Are you going to do the Therapy dog testing also. Best of luck to you both. You will be in our thoughts and prayers for the 18th...let us know how Peri does.

Congratulations on being able to do so many things. I was wondering, what's a doggy push up?
