Licking Hind End update
Sam ended up on antibiotics and after 2 days I think the licking has stopped. I think he is my high maintanance puppy, but I luv him.

poor pup - that has to be very uncomfortable. I have had large dogs but my mom;s toy poodle came to live (20 years ago) with us when they downsized (she HATED apartment life). Every time she was grooming they did her anal glands but I have never had to do that with a large dog. Sorry you both had to go through that but it is something that is now on my radar to watch Samantha.

His anal glands and than because of excessive licking he had a skin infection on the base of his tail.The vet expressed the glands(smelly) and put him on an antibiotic (Keflex)
