Lilly 10 months

It seems like forever since I have been on Doodlekisses. The cottage has been all consuming and I am busy making a prayer shawl for a friend of a friend that has cancer.

This time last year,I was buying puppy things like they were going to quit making them and looking forward to our little bundle of fur.  As I write this, Lilly is sleeping next to me on top of her stuffingless fox that is all but a rag. She has distroyed all her wonderful toys. She can find the squeeker and pull it out in less than 10 minutes. Tennis balls that use to be tossed and brought back are now ripped apart and discarded like a teenager that tries on 5 pairs of jeans and throws them on the floor before leaving the house in the morning for school.

We have to spell in front of her since she knows so many words. If we say "Let's go for a walk after dinner" She is in our face barking and ready to go right.this.minute. Her other words are; chicken, treat, banana, outside, go, night night, daddy's home, leash, ball, rope, fox.  There may be others, but that is all I can think of.

She weighs a little over 15 lbs after her summer hair cut yesterday.

time does fly.. in a blink of an eye..here we are with babies that have big teeth and that sleep through the nights.. hugs every one.

Aw... Lilly sounds a lot like Maggie, especially about the shredded toys and knowing your words. It sure has been a life-changing 10 months.

thanks everyone. yes, Lilly still rules the house. she even got to go to our friends where "no dogs are allowed in the house. no way no how.. and she came in the house and slept on the bed. she wins people over whereever she goes.  I love to see how all the "waiting for puppies" group that I was on EVERYDAY-  have grown into such big girls and boys. thank you for the prayers- that cancer is evil.. love to all
