Lilly turned 3 months old on the 2nd. She had her third round of puppy shots on the 1st and weighs 7 lbs. She has settled us into a routine. She gets up around 6 and some days before the rouster across the street starts his crowing. she goes outside and goes pee/ comes in and eats a bit of food and then has to go out "right THIS MINUTE" and poops, then she comes in and finishs eating. She plays for a bit then decides it is nap time. She is up for about 2 hrs and sleeps for 2hrs. She like to paly fetch..sort of.. you throw the ball, she brings it back, but hasnt got the dorp part down but we are working on it. She still likes to chew on us more than her toys. Still has all those sharp baby teeth. We are being a little braver on where we take her. She got to go for a walk in the park in the near by town of Auburn, NE the other day and last night we walked her up the street to our "Lizzie's Cottage" our 1870 money pit that we will be moving into the first of Oct.

Yesterday, we drove the 70 miles to Lincoln to shop at home depot. (I love this little village- HATE being away from shopping) I took her crate NAP thing and put it in the cart andshe loved it. She is not big enough to jump out and I tied her leash to the cart. She loved it and everyone had to pet her and visit with her.

On the way back I set her down on some grass to go potty..I did not see those sticker weed things and she had them in three paws.  I hate those m***** fing weeds.   When I put her in her crate later in the day, I closed the door on her tail. I am sure she wished she had a thumb after the weeds and me hurting her tail, so she could hitchhike away from home.  thank goodness that she doesn't hold grudges.

Yes...SERIOUSLY, please rest assured that we would welcome and love Lilly.  Put it in writing...we'll make sure you have our contact info, God forbid.  Hey, I love my Bissell Spot Bot...what's a little potty here and there, anyway.  I say don't sweat the small stuff.

Hi Mimi

Zach was also 3 months on Sept 5. While I am sorry to hear that Lily is still biting, I am relieved that I am not the only one who has not yet gotten puppy biting under control. I have developed a no biting grunt that seems to work, but sadly he gets his teeth on me first, then I grunt then he stops. It seems to be worst when he is happy and playing at his puppy best  - just kind of loses control. Zach is now 22 lbs and about 15 inches tall. He seems to be potty trained - no accidents in over a week. He is great with people, a little shy around dogs, but we are working on that in puppyk, and meeting all the dogs that we can on our walks. He still gets car sick, so we are taking lots of short "happy" trips to try to make the car a nice place and to get to "fun" places before he has time to get sick. The neighbors wonder why I am driving the puppy the 1/4 mile down the street to park! So glad to hear that Lily is doing well - they will only be puppies for such a short time. It is fun to be able to share these experiences.

Thank you Dori.. I will, I think she will just want to live with you.. if anything happens to scott and I , would you adopt her (if you don't already have a sister or brother for Rua?) I am serious..she couldn't go to a better home. I have started a list of her habits.. we haven't had an accident for some time.. but not saying you won't have to use your spot bot. she has her calender out and is marking down the days:)

Happy 3 months Lilly!  It is good to know her morning habits...I think I would like an instruction sheet (as if you haven't already started it)!

Sounds like she had fun shopping at Home Depot.  Rua loves riding in the cart, too!  It is always funny to see peoples reactions when they realize you have a dog in your cart, not a kid!

I will try to keep Lilly out of the sticker weeds and keep her tail out of the door.  Tell her if she needs to run away from home, she can thumb her way to Omaha.

Poor baby-they never hold grudges that's why they are such awesome creatures. 70 miles to Home Depot (I really dislike going there) I would have been staying home! LOL! Whata great way to get her out and about, she's doing great by the sound of it!

Hello Mimi.. my how quickly they grow up..  similar to our kids.  Those sticker weeds are totally annoying, we have them here in abundance.  If I am not watching Sophia can find them faster than finding my ankles to take a bite out of.  I sit here wondering...  if these doodles are so smart and she is... how come she has learned to perfection sit, stay, down, shake a paw and roll over, yet "no bite", "leave it" and ``get down`` are beyond her..   LOL

I am sure my DH is going to wonder what I was up to, in the last three weeks when he gets home..  Covered in bites...

Hah. Riley jumped out of my arms this afternoon and hit the pavement... She and I both cryed. She is back to playing now, and doesnt hold any grudges against me. My poor girl.

Sounds like you had a great couple of days - well, except for the weed part!!  By the way, don't be too anxious for Lilly to "get" the whole fetch thing.  Sedona is really good at it - and drives us nuts wanting to play all the time - and I mean ALL THE TIME!!!!

It sure sounds like Lilly is doing great and settling right into a routine.  She's almost the exact same weight as Guinness was at this age.
