Luna's new little sister is here!

Our little family has gotten larger!

Sophie was born 11 days late weighing in at 7 pounds 14 ounces.  Thankfully she wasn't the 8.5 pounds predicted by ultrasound... my epidural didn't have time to work fully so I had an accidental semi-natural birth.  I guess she was too eager to come meet her family. :)

Luna is cautiously checking her out and is starting to show more interest in her (Sophie got her toes licked today during a diaper change... she didn't mind!).  

We are in love with our little snuggle bug.  Her favorite activity is to free her arms from her swaddle then do "jazz hands" in her sleep.  

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure :)  So far she has mommy's dark, straight hair and her eye colour appears to be "undecided" but looks a bit like daddy's blue-green hazel.

1 day old in the hospital.  Note how her arm has escaped the nurse's expert double swaddle.  The blue blanket was brought home to introduce Luna to her scent.

Congratulations!!  It has been a long time (18 years) since we had a newborn (human) in the house.  Enjoy every minute of it!!!  She is gprgeous!!

I have yet to get a good picture of her with her eyes open.  The little pre-flash during focusing makes her close her eyes :p  

Things are busy around here for sure!

Adina - babies sure are cute but they are a handful!  After having Sophie home for a bit DH is finally conceding that Luna was an "easy puppy" :p
