I'm was WalMart buying a bag of dog food for my dog. While in the check-out line, a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. Why else would I be buying dog food, RIGHT??? So on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Dog food Diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and all you do is load your pockets with food Nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff a poodle's butt and a car hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.

Now that you've read this I have to confess, I copied it. Now copy and share. Make someone else laugh think after the sad sad things that have happened the past few days people need just a moment of comic relief!!

My first question was what kind of food are you buying for your doodles at Wal-Mart???  What is funny is that I wouldn't buy any of their dog food for my doodles, but I do buy food there for us!

I have seen this and enjoyed it before.  At that time I posted it on my bulletin board at work.  Since I retired, I don't have a bulletin board any more.  Thanks for posting it so I can revisit.

Karen - when I was reading this on FB I swear I heard your voice reading it to me - WOL!!! The person I copied it from is a rescuer that I respect very much and know darn well she feeds her dogs great food and I was so confused when I started reading it. Then I truly LOL!! I knew you would love it!

it's also a way for new DKers to learn that buying food for your doodle in WalMart or Target is not a healthy choice. For those who haven't already go the Food Group - read and learn from others what foods you feed your doodle on any budget and know that they are eating something healthy.

I'm with the others and had to re-read that first sentence.  Buying dog-food at Walmart and posting it on DK??? Surely not!

LOL, when I visit Walmart twice a year to buy my contact lens solution, I try to just look straight ahead of me! The whole place gives me the willies!

Funny stuff!  I also got stuck on the Walmart part and was relieved that it was a hoax. No self respecting DK'er would buy any pet product there!  I actually was in a Walmart the other day to buy packing bubble wrap and did buy Qincy a new rope toy!  Thought of Karen the whole time I was walking through the dog food aisle!

I knew you copied this from the very first sentence, because there is no dog food sold at Walmart that you would buy!

PS I think the Orijen and Acana would actually be nutritionally fine for me and I was actually thinking of tasting it. Has anybody else tried dog food?

Yes, the Walmart was a dead giveaway, hilarious!
