I just had to tell you guys this, We had company for dinner Christmas Day, just some good friends came over, everbody made something, and we just did a comfort food dinner...Chicken meat loaf, Mac & Cheese, some veggies, etc.  We were all sitting at the dining room table, when Oliver walked over to the table between 2 friends, husband and wife and placed his head on the table.  He didn't go after any of the food, he was very quiet, just rested his chin on the table, looked from person to person, depending on who was talking, and we were stunned.  this wonderful creature wanted to be one with all of us, so he just sat next to the table, (his head is just right over the table ledge) and didn't make a sound.  After about 2 min. he placed his paw on my friends lap, he wanted him to hold hands with him, and when we told him to hold his paw, he just loooked at him, and rested his head on my fiends lap.  I try to explain to people that these doodles are not just dogs, they are furry humans, only smarter then some humans I know.  He stayed with us, going from person to person, for about 10 min and then just went and laid down on his cushion about 10 ft away from us. How can you explain to someone what we experienced with him that night?...I know I sound nuts, but I am telling you the g-ds honest truth, and I have 8 witnesses...I just love our Doodles!!!!!!.

How cute is that?!  Oliver sounds like a sweet, very social boy!

Our Coco likes to sit on peoples feet and just lean into them.  She just needs to get as close as possible.

Oliver is very special to be sure and I too can just see this.  It makes me wonder what Rooney will be like when he is older and gets through his puppy stage, of course he will never get to Oliver's size but I would love to think that he would be that social and calm.  Oliver - you can lay your head on my table any time!!!!

Aww... that is so so sweet.  Oliver sounds like a perfect furkid.

My dood is only this sweet to DH and me, and no one else.  He would ignore everyone in a crowded room goo-goo and ga-ga 'ing over him to seek us out.  He only has eyes for us.  We think he is more Poodle in this sense.

Without fail whenever someone visits, Gavin will lay at or on their feet.  He will divide his time if there is more than one guest.  Aren't they just so cool!

The picture is clear in my mind after you described it.  These doods are extremely social animals, not meant for isolation that is for sure!
