Guinness goes to Doggie Daycare once a week. He loves it. Now he knows where he is as we pull into the driveway and his whole "bum" shakes (tail wagging like crazy) because he's so excited. When I pick him up they always give me a "report" about how his day went....sort of like when you pick up your kids from daycare. It's pretty funny, but they take it all seriously. Usually I hear things like "he had such a great time and ran and played so well with the other dogs". Not today. I knew from the look on her face that this would not be the usual glowing report as she brought Guinness out. She then proceeded to tell me that he had to have a "time out" today. Oh no! She said he went in like he was "in charge" and proceeded to "mount" another dog. (He's never done this before....I think he just figured it out.) She said she gave him "three warnings" and then he had to go to "time out" for 10 minutes. When he came out of "time out" he had "learned his lesson" and didn't do it again for the rest of the day. Needless to say, I was having a tough time keeping a straight face. I totally felt like I was back to the days when I was picking up my kids from daycare. I really do love this place because they run a "tight ship" and the dogs can always feel safe, but this "daily report" was pretty funny. Good to know "he's learned his lesson". I guess I can expect no more "mounting" in Guinness's future.

I love the daycare reports. Guinness the molester. Hilarious!!!! What a squirt!! I really want my vet daughter to start a practice and add a dog daycare. I would help. My daycare in NC was fancy, and gorgeous, but worth every penny. It had its own lake for the swimmers and girls were hired to entertain the big dogs. My hubby about died when he saw the "report cards" with how they acted, what therir mood was, who their buddies were. The one back here in Bloomington, IL is pitiful by comparison. Just herds of dogs, no stimulation except each other. Too bad.

I would have busted up! It's like supernanny for doggies, three warning before the "time out!" Hahahahaha

When Max first started Doggie Day Care he was also a mounter. To stop him, they would spray water at him until they realized he enjoyed the drink of water!!! Now he's 20 months old and will mount once in a while but only when he thinks he won't get caught! He's pretty good at knowing right from wrong and he only has to hear his name and he will stop.

Oh I agree with them though. She just gets so exhausted, especially with a certain German Shephard. They have to both take time outs and have a rest. Guinness the Molester! HA!

Poor Peri...it's not fair that she's getting the time out. She's the victim - they need to be "punishing" the molester. We're now lovingly referring to our sweet puppy as "Guinness The Molester".

Hehehe....Peri's daycare loves her to death, but they do have to give her time outs ever once in a while. It is usually because she is being molested by another dog (she just lays there, on her back and is sooo submissive), snaps and needs a break!

Don't think I could of kept a straight face..or probably would have played this situation out a little longer joking back with the daycare sitters.

I remember those days so well and my "baby" is 21! Mrs. Haver, Grant had a problem today. I know the children were excited because it was picture day and they did all look so nice, but Grant just can't yell across the room to Brandi that she looks sooooo beautiful! Giggle, Giggle.
