New Front Page

Please tell me that the DoodleKisses front page has changed, if not I'm going crazy or I need a new computer. I like it if it has changed.

I will take longer for a final review, but I am with Joanne, I don't like it. I really enjoy the slide show but not that big and the same with a video. I don't like it as one featured photo. What about clicking to thumbnails? I like that the newest members are more featured but it takes up too much room. Birthdays are nice and I like to wish people a happy day, but personally I am not a birthday person so I don't care if it has to go. I do think that if you are going to list birthdays, everyone who has one needs to have it listed. I wish we could click to it. The 'photos added' is also too big too - we can click on the photos and see the new pictures. I like that discussions being more front and center and the activity on the side. I want all the blogs and discussions accessible - they do go off soon.

Does the front page have a finit length? Maybe some of the less topical items could be on the bottom and once you seen them you wouldn't need to scroll down again soon?

Adina, the best of the best is good but the most current and topical is important too. I always feel the discussions disappear too fast and I do occasionally go searching for a recent one but it would be great to have more "upfront".

here Iam again. I'm on a tear I guess. Do we really need a big comment section under the featured photo and video. Couldn't there simply be a "button" to press to take you elsewhere to comment? More space for meaningful content. Hope you don't mind all my 2 cents worth, Adina. Innovation is good and I always appreciate what you put into this site! Thank you.

Okay, more to say--what else is new. So IMNSHO here goes. The chat section is here but not on the front page--strange and not good. Whoops, just found it on the front page but prefer it the old way. We don't need it permanently on and taking up space. I don't think we need a group session on the front page. Nor do I think we need a calendar or events on the front page. Maybe those could join birthdays on a separate page. Or individual photos on the bottom and member photos on top left for that matter. I like the idea of keeping the front page simple. Discussions, blogs, rescues, featured items or slide show.
