Kona, age 3, and Owen, 14 weeks, are getting along great. Kona has developed a new game. He goes out the doggie door in the kitchen and comes to the French door in the family room waiting for Owen to notice him. When Owen sees Kona he goes to the door wildly begging to get out. I go to the door, let him out and he attacks Kona with glee. After a minute, Kona goes in the doggie door in the kitchen, walks through the house to the French door in the family room and waits for Owen to see him. Owen wildly begs to get inside where he attacks Kona after I open the door for him. Shorly thereafter, Kona goes out the doggie door and stands in front of the French door in the family room... you get the idea. This game is tons of fun for both of them but not so much fun for me. I decided it is time to teach Owen how to use the doggie door. Hope he figures it out soon!
They have such diverse personalities. We are worrying a little that our spunky little pup is going to be the dominant one. Kona is such a gentle sweetheart that he doesn't correct Owen very often. He just leaves. Right now, Kona is 94 pounds of love; Owen is 20 pounds of fiesty.
