Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

In celebration of our one year wedding anniversary/DH's birthday/Labor Day weekend we decided to take a mini-trip to Pismo Beach, Ca.  It's about a 3 hour drive from Los Angeles.

I couldn't decide what to do with Zoe & Ben.

-Board them at a day care?  Ben seems too young and needs to be socialized more before I can let him on his own.  And it seems like it's too many days he might freak out.

-Board them with our vet?  But they are only let out 3 times a day and spend most of their time in the cages.  =(

-Have my sister watch them at her place?  It's a condo and she lives on the fourth floor.  I don't know if she can handle 2 medium sized dogs.  Ben again might freak out if she leaves them there home alone?

-Have my sister watch them at our house?  Again, she might leave them alone for too long, she might not put up the baby gate properly, they might chew on stuff and get into stuff that theyre not supposed to.  AHHH!

-board them with one of those dog websites where they have people watching them in their homes for a small fee?  Who are these people and even if they passed all the screening process...There are crazy people out there!  AHHHHHH!

so we are taking them with us!!!  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I found a Pet friendly Hotel with lots of amenities that are great for our pups (even dog walking services).  Pismo Beach is also a dog friendly beach so I think they might enjoy romping around int he sand and water.  Our romantic and relaxing weekend get-away has now turned into a pet friendly family trip!  Wish us luck!!!

I am giggling out loud because my DH and I are planning a trip to Helen, GA in the GA mountains in October.  My DH was so excited because I was planning a "romantic" long weekend...Guess what?

We are bringing Bailey and staying at a place call the Biscuit Inn...It caters to pets and their owners.... LOL

This sounds so fun.  We always take our dogs to the beach with us and they just LOVE IT!  Bring really long leads with you so they can romp around on the beach :)

Be sure to bring a sweatshirt and jeans because the weather there is sometimes cool.
