Outing to Chippokes Plantation State Paek

Saturday I knew something was going on when Mom started organizing her camera stuff and then she started packing a cooler. Boy did I get excited. Then she got my seat belt harness and put it on me and we were off on an outing. Of course I was so excited that I didn't pee before getting in my car and Dad stopped at this boat landing and I relieved myself.

After an eternity we got to where we were going. The first thing we did was walk on the beach.

I was a good doodle and ignored stuff like this...

Then we found a picnic table and they got the cooler and my treats. These donkeys came to see me while Mom and Dad were eating.

I got to eat meet Peter, the rabbit.

I was so excited I couldn't contain myself! Dad had to hang on tight to my leash and to me.

I had to go back for a second look.

We passed a kitty taking a sunbath.

Here I am in an alee' of boxwoods and crepe myrtles.

Mom and Dad said they were going to go back in July to see the crepe myrtles in bloom and also to tour the old house. They don't let dogs in the old house and anyway it will be too hot in July for me.  I LOVE air conditioning.

It sure was a fun day. When we got home I had my dinner; took a nap and then played fetch. Wish all Saturdays were like this one.
