I was out of town for a conference from Sunday mid-day until last night (Wednesday). I called daily - morning and evening - to check on the dogs, and err...DH too! Keep in mind we are keeping Lucinda the Imposter (aka Lucy the terrier - parents' dog) while my mom and dad are in CA for the week. And I happened to have a conference the first 1/2 of the week while they are gone and I was the one who volunteered to watch her (hey, they watch ours when we go out of town!).
Day 1 (Monday): DH says Taquito "threw up everywhere, but then ate breakfast" and that Peri "has diarrhea from that da&* Zukes bone you gave her". Says he is tired of having 3 dogs while I am out of town and that I planned that on purpose to avoid the responsibility.
Day 2 (Tuesday): DH says Taquito "is better, but is moping around the house" and that Peri "woke me up at 3am to go outside and poop!". Lucy is just "weird".
Day 3 (Wednesday night, I am home): DH says "I really missed you and apparantly the dogs did too. By the way, I didn't get a chance to tell you that this morning around 2:30 a.m. before I took Peri out, I woke up because of the stench in the room from Peri's farting!" LOL! I didn't not even believe him! Of course this happens when I am out of town! HA!
And this morning, I took ALL 3 DOGS on a 2.5 mile walk at 6am. I can handle it! Why can't he? He said "I took them up to x street". Hey, that is not even 1/4 of a mile! Peri must be thinking "that's nothin' dad!"
After our walk this morning, we got home and DH had breakfast for the dogs ready, they ate, then Peri came to me and gave me a high 5 (she really does this when she is happy and excited). You should have seen her smile - it was from ear to ear - that really big DOODLEY SMILE - anyone know that? She loves her mama!
It is good to be home! Have been missing DK! I was so busy I couldn't get online much (except to do work!).

This is good practice for when you have kids. Moms can handle it, dads not so much. We know whose dogs they really are, lol, and they know it, too!
Isn't it nice to be missed, though?
