Well, today is the big day. I dropped Peri off at the vet this morning before I came in to work. She is getting spayed today! I know it is a routine surgery, but I am still a bit nervous. The car ride this morning was funny...I bought a harness and seatbelt thingy for her to ride in the back. Well, she wants to be up near me. So, she was stretched out with her butt on the back seat and face on the console. So sweet. Then she got carsick and threw up! Then we arrived and she went nutty because she LOVES the vet. Don't know why, but Peri gets super excited when we go there.

I will keep you posted on how the surgery goes.

Another note to add: she is the biggest hit at her daycare. I only take her once or twice/week because it is expensive, but they love her! They gave us her favorite toy to take home with us Wednesday. She carries that around everywhere, even outside for potty time :) Also, she will be the featured "Dog of the Month" in October. HA!

That's all for now. I will leave you with a photo from daycare (sorry resolution is not better):

Glad to hear that Peri is doing well. Penny was very lethargic for about 24 hours after we brought her home, but otherwise situation fairly normal, except she tires more easily than usual. Still haven't had to keep her away from her stitches, although she seems more interested in the ones on her front paws from having her dew claws removed, but all she does is lick them occasionally. Hope Peri does as well.

So sedatives do not work! It is hilarious! She gets more energy! But we are doing a decent job of keeping her calm. Thanks for all of the comments....she is doing just fine.

She looks just like my Sophie (6 mths) - this picture is old, before she started looking like a Doodle. Sophie was spayed last week and did just fine. I worried also. Doc said to only take her out on a leash for potty for 7 days. Good luck with that. I had worried about her licking her incision and needing a collar, but it wasn't a problem. Good luck to Peri.

Awwww glad to hear Peri did well with her surgery, and she is probably home now resting. Daycare will miss her for a few weeks, bet she will be glad to go back to visit with her doggy friends. Hope you both have a restfull night.

Either the tranquilizer or a VERY tall glass of wine!! I hope all is well and I will keep Peri in my thoughts. LOVE the picture. So cute!!!! Glad to know she made it through surgery well. I bet she will be glad to be home and I also bet she does not like the vet from now on;)

Peri is out of surgery! Vet said she is doing very well and it went smoothly. YAY! I will go pick her up after 4pm today. Now for the hard part: keeping her rested. Can I get a tranquilizer please? LOL

Peri is adorable! I know how you feel about her surgery, I felt the same way with Blaze. He loves going to the Vet too, but I think it's just because he loves going for a car ride anywhere! (fortunately he doesn't get carsick) I hope she has a speedy recovery.

Awww, too cute! Hope Peri recovers quickly!

Funny about the carsick thing... Ellie gets carsick EVERYTIME she's in a car. I'm wondering if there's some sort of remedy otherwise she can't go in cars..
