Our governor is trying to pass a pet tax law. This would include that every animal in a person's home would be taxed by weight! So say you had 4 horses??? You got it, they would be taxed... and by weight!! 5 Doodles... you got it... you would be taxed per animal! Please click on the link below to make sure this law does not get passed!!! If it passes in Indiana I would think that they will pass it in other states!

I also was joking around with you....didn't really take this serious...first comment was .."It's April Fools"... ALTHOUGH...Pa has been considering some kind of tax for kennels ... (Not sure exactly how this was to work..but) the Dept. of Agriculture in PA wants to know who they sell to, in and out of PA...and than apply a sales tax on the sale of the dog through kennels. Both kennel and new dog owner would be taxed? All of it sounded really rediculious....another way they could justify their wasted tax dollars.

Hahaha, you got me Kendra! I wouldn't have believed it, except on the news last night they were saying that a lot of the states are talking about taxing all kinds of things, such as services, to help make up their shortfalls. Happy April Fool's Day!

EVERYONE! LOL... it was just an April Fool's Joke! I posted it to be funny not to start a controversy! I heard this on the radio this morning and believed it... only to laugh my head off when I went to the website and found out the radio station was pranking all of its listeners! Guess this didn't turn out the way I had planned on here... sorry for the confusion.

I did click on the link and got your radio station...didn't find any more info about this. My comment was to imply that I feel this is very stupid of your local or state government to even consider something like this. Is this what Indiana tax payers are paying your government offical's to work on. I think we both express your state/local government has way to much time on it's hands to be counting how many animals you own to place a tax on them ( the hole idea is outrageously ridiculious). Or maybe this is just a better way they can sleep at night...instead of counting sheep they can count everyones animals in Indy for profit.

I think it's probably an April Fool's joke too. I would sure hope that the government wouldn't have enough time to know how many animals you had and their weight. :)

It's April Fools...or is this another "Dumb Bunny" theory? Seriously ....you don't pay school taxes in Indiana if you don't have kids in a school there, in PA we pay through our property taxes even if you do not have kids....WHY would they want to put a tax on Animails...are there more Animals than kids? I hate to think what next our state and local govenments will try and tax!
