Tigger and I were in a parade on Saturday. Actually, we were the stars of the parade. We were the only dogs in the parade, all the other dogs were just watching. We weren't even decorated like the cars and horses. Mom forgot. No she didn't, she knows we are beautiful just the way we are.
We knew something was up because we went swimming right after breakfast, usually we play fetch in the morning and swim in the afternoon. But it was good we were wet because it got hot at the end of the parade and it felt good to still be a little wet. Mom brought water to pour on our feet, too which felt wonderful.
Mom was ever so proud of us. We did not put one foot wrong. Well, Tigger did get a little silly about walking beside a red wagon with two kids in it. I got between Tigger and the wagon and then he was okay. I need my face trimmed, that darn wagon yet going in and out of my vision. I could hear it, but not alway see it and I didn't like it. Also I was the star - everyone recognized me as a Doodle. They thought you were a poodle. Whatever! We were both stars, even with the horses there. Of course the horses were on duty and couldn't stop to be petted.
The best part was walking home from the parade when we stopped on the wet grass. It felt so good. You are such a pushover. You let a lady you barely new rub your belly. Mom knew her. She said her name, and that was good enough for me. I hope we get to do it again. We love parades!
PS Dad forgot his camera or you could see for yourself how good we looked. Our swim cut is grown out just enough so that we are culy all over, but not matted. You mat, I tangle and I let Mom brush me , you don't. Tigger, you mat too, worse than me, Mom says, but you fall asleep when you are being brushed, so you just don't know. Do Not! Do too.

You guys are so cool to be in a parade. I wish your Dad would have taken pictures. I would have been very afraid of the red wagon...how brave of you, Roo. I understand needed your face trimmed, Tigger, that would make it difficult. Thanks for sharing your fun day with us. Your Friend, Rua
