Well Roo has not come home. We left the vet's, Roo wasn't in car, or at home, at Richard's at Heather's or at the vet's. Roo left his fur there though. Mom said he crossed the Rainbow bridge. Why didn't he take me? I love to go new places. I don't really understand, but it is good I was here because Mom and Dad needed me to lick their tears (nice and salty, sort of like…

Roo here. I have been very tired so haven't reported much lately. The last I remember I was laying on the floor and my mom was petting my head -love that - well love any attention really. I was very very sleepy.
When I woke up I felt great, like a young pup again, but smarter. I can't find Mom or Dad or Tigger, but there are lots of other dogs and grass and trees and smells. Oh the smells..... This must be a very big dog park. No people though - weird.
Here…

Roo has congestive heart failure. He is only eight years old. His heart is breaking and so is mine. I can tell you that Roo has an excellent vet, so good in fact that the vet cardiologist is willing to turn Roo's care over to him. Something which she said she never does. I could tell you that it is not connected to his Addison's. I could tell you he had an excellent check up in July. I could tell you that this sometimes happens in labs and poodles.
But none of that…

Roo here, reporting from my new location. Mom and Tigger and I have been busy. Dad too. We moved to a new place. At first I thought we were just visiting for a long time. Dad is always teasing Mom about how much she packs for trips. Also she kept Tigger and I on a leash a lot which means visiting.
But Tigger and I have decided that this is home. There are stairs to go to bed in this house, Tigger already fell down them once! DID NOT - I was just going very very…

Hi to all my doodle friends - I finally get to tell a story. You know Roo has Addison's disease. I love him and am glad that he is just fine, but Roo gets to go all by himself to the vet - lots. The stories he tells when he gets home! We love going to the vet, there are always kitties in a cage, wonderful intense smells, treats and of course all the girls know us and love us.
Every time Roo comes home he goes on and on about the new cat Chester, who likes dogs, and…

Hi all Roo here - This is an urgent report. If you as a doodle or a doodle parent have a swimming pool, be on high alert.
Mom was trying to not get up and get our breakfast and usually we just snuggle in with her for awhile.....but this morning we had, had, had to get her up. We barked until we were horse (hoarse? - can there be two words that sound alike, but are different?) Anyway, we finally got her up, it was super urgent. There was a girl duck and a boy duck in…

Hi all -Roo here. Mom has a new job (editor's note: volunteer) and she is always at the computer. I can't get a paw in edgewise. But finally.... Big news is that I am fine. I have Addison's disease. I felt awful for about a week. Couldn't even eat!! Now that is really feeling foul.
You still guarded your bowl though, you could have shared with me.
Tigger, you had your own food and I needed to let Mom know how horrible I felt!Whatever...
Anyway, every…

Roo and Tigger asked me to write this on DK for them in case Santa checks here for their Christmas gift list
They are both zonked out in bed from helping with all the Christmas decorating and tree trimming - or untrimming as I apparently placed some of the ornaments incorrectly, so they removed them to let me try again and do a better job.
So here is their Christmas list:
Twelve Zogoflex bones
Eleven juicy burgers
Ten tissue boxes (full…

Tigger and I were in a parade on Saturday. Actually, we were the stars of the parade. We were the only dogs in the parade, all the other dogs were just watching. We weren't even decorated like the cars and horses. Mom forgot. No she didn't, she knows we are beautiful just the way we…

There is group discussion that Mom is really into. Caesar's Way or something. What about Roo's Way. I am excellent at training my people. I go for long periods being absolutely wonderful, no counter surfing, no exploring various curious things in the home. Soon Mom and Dad aren't as watchful. Mom put out a bowl of lovely crunchy dried stuff on a low table. I had not bothered it since it was put out. But today - today it was just calling my name. It is supposed to be looked at, its…

Thor came into our lives by our choice. We were going to enter the world of dog showing. Both kids had flown the nest and all their friends with them. No more soccer, no more scouts, no more hockey, no more crazy pool parties. Just us. What did other people do on Saturdays? We tried gardening - my husband hated it. We tried golf - I hated it. I had shown horses a lot when I was younger, and one dog a little. Dog shows - perfect. You pack up just like for sports, spend 10…

A heartfelt thank you to Karen and Jack and all the DRC folks. Not just for giving "Moses" a loving ending to his life, but for all the dogs you help. My mother- in- law, who is nearly a saint herself, says that all the loving, giving things, you do for no pay, but just from caring and because they need doing, earn a gold star for your crown in heaven. Karen and DRC you help those who have no voice, be ready for a crown with lots of stars. Thanks

Okay all you doodle friends, I am getting a lot of bad press out there and I just want to tell my side of the story.
Mom and Dad were gone. Sisters were here. It was raining all the time. Roo and I had not been in the pool in a least a century - month - a day - I'm not that good on time. I had introduced the Sisters to the fun game of chase. It goes like this - I find something fun to carry in my mouth - a sock, a pillow, the toilet paper - that one is really fun.…

Tigger went to the vet today for his post surgery check. All is well. He has pooped out all the pieces. My daughters are feeling much better also. Thanks for all your well wishes to Roo's post.
The day of Tigger's surgery just before he was scheduled, a Boxer was brought in who had swallowed an entire wire coat hanger, clothes and all. He went first as he was in acute distress. Tigger really only had his belly skin opened and the small intestine "run" (twice) by the vet's…

Hi all Roo here! Boy have we had an interesting few weeks. Our sisters came to stay with us while Mom and Dad took the large box things somewhere. Whenever they put clothes in those things Tigger and I get left at home. This last time I put my very best rubber bone in, but Mom took it out. Next time I am putting myself in the box when it is open on the bed and I won't get out. Then I will get to see what they do.
Anyway, Tigger and I like having our…

Roo here! Reporting in on the Malibu Doodle Romp. Oodles of doodle fun. Lots and lots of people to meet. And all of them love me! Most of them thought it was awesome to have doodle right in their lap or face to face for a kiss. A few humans were confused and thought this was a Canine Good Citizen test and pushed me down, but most just hugged and loved me. It's okay though, humans are easily confused as they don't watch, smell or listen carefully. Tiggerrrrrrrrrr checking…

Roo here! Mom said you all laughed a lot at my last post. I like the sound of humans laughing it makes me wag my tale and spin in circles. This is Tiggerrrrrrr - well not really the gerrrrrrrrrr, it was just so fun to hold my paw on the key. i'm really very friendly and cuddly. When Mom laughs I jump straight up, all four paws at once cause sometimes her laugh means treats are a comin'.
We both earned our CGC tonight. It was sooooo…

Roo here!!! Hello! Hi! Lu ya! Who are you? Do you have treats? Tigger and I had the most exciting weekend!
We swam everyday in the pool! We fetched our rubber bones! Lots! Every night we went somewhere and Mom and Dad sat outside and we got to go too! Every place had lots of dogs and people. Tigger is sooooo boring. He just sits and watches the world go by. Not Me! I rush out to greet everyone and every dog. They all love me, I know they do! Finally after an hour or so I feel a little…
