Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Long before Rooney was even a gleam in my eye or a deposit on a looooong waiting list - I was invited to visit some friends who live in the south of France. Tomorrow the great adventure begins - and now I don't want to go. ;-) I hate to drag myself away from my computer - oh how I will miss those funny stories, updates (Roo's teeth came in yesterday), photos and videos that the breeder sends. And I will miss all of our new friends on DK and their stories and all of the stuff I was learning.

Pre Rooney I was planning on wasting some of Rooney's daddy's money at the Louis Vuitton Store on another useless purse. Hmmm - don't they make dog collars? Wait - no - your dad would kill me! O.K. how about a Les Pooches brush - those are made in France right, no you already have one, darn! Perhaps some French doggie toys! Maybe I'll even see some French Doodles! I'll keep the camera in hand just in case.

So dear little Rooney - while I am away - grow big, learn to potty outside, play with your littermates and know that I am missing you! When I return - we'll be so much closer to your homecoming!!!!! And if I can get on a computer at the hotel in Paris - I'll be surfing for puppy news! xoxox Mom

The only French bags we have around here are poop bags; black, lemon scented poop bags made in France.
I buy only the best!
Have a wonderful time, can't wait to see photos from your trip!

Adrianne - I laughed out loud - I have THE perfect LV bag for you - I'd post a photo but the camera is packed. It would hold all your needed items and then some! I use it to travel as it holds EVERYTHING and zips closed. Rooney will be fine (it is me that I am worried about - Rooney blackout and all) - he is with his breeder - she loves him dearly and he couldn't be in better hands. I used to have an LV obesession - now I have a Roodle obesession (Rooney Doodle).

Okaaayyy - I will let you being ME back that LV bag that YOU don't need - I don't either but I never turn down a gift. I need one not too big but big enough to hold 2 doodle water bottles; the big, squeaky tennis ball; extra leash (cause you never know); roll of poop bags; travel water bowl; cell phone; my Doodle rescue book cause I go no where without; WOL!!!!
seriously - have a great trip! this is a once in a lifetime so enjoy it!! Rooney will be fine - we all here in DK will check with him. Make sure he knows how to turn the screen on.

Are we allowed to talk about this here? Rooney came from True Blue Australian Labradoodles, a small breeder who features her litters on Seaspray Australian Labradoodle's web site. Rooney's dad Connor, is co-owned by both breeders (Peggy & Leslie). Rooney's mommy - Sesame, her mother - Disney, came from Tegan Park. Did you work with Leslie - the most amazing dog trainer ever!

Sandy - is your dog from Seaspray - do you ever go to Doodle Day? I can't wait to take Rooney! I've been to Peggy's - I almost got a puppy from Tara's litter but timing wasn't right. Then I visited at Leslie's and waited, waited and now I have the most amazing parti puppy!!! Tell me about your dog.

I think we should start a Travel Group - for traveling withOUT your doods. We can share pictures and advice on how to cope without them :)

Jane, enjoy your trip to France and if you get a chance go to Monaco, really nice place to visit and very close to Nice. Just saw your Rooney pics, he is so adorable. Is he by any chance from Seaspray? And thanks for the Key West info.

Macarons are cookies. Delicious ones. Laudree is the best place to buy them. :-)
