Rosco's Nursery Torture

Our nursery is half way done. The doods are very curious, but mostly about the sudden emergence of a million stuffed animals that they don't have free access to. "What is up Mom? Don't you know stuffing is a suffocation hazard for infants? I want to help, give 'em all to me and I'll make them safe!"

Yesterday I sat in the glider with my laptop and listened to Rosco's quiet whine, reflecting his great unease at being surrounded by things he wanted badly but couldn't have. Daddy had already given him and Thule and Cass (who surprisingly showed a piqued interest in a teddy bear) the "These are Not for Doggies" lecture ... but I think they'll need it daily.

Pretty in Pink. How lovely. Great crib. The doods look like they are waiting to welcome somebody. You will get a lot of use out of the rocking chair. Sweet memories for me.

What a beautiful nursery. Is that lovely blanket draped on the back of the crib hand-made? It is very girlie!
The only advantage to preparing a boy nursery - I used dogs - kind of like my Springer as my theme and there was tons of stuff - you know boys and their dogs, us and our doods......
What fun for little Clarkina and her flowers, but ..... no rug for her mama's feet! Maybe the flower fairy will appear and paint the floor in stardust and dewy fresh roses.

Oooo, the nursery looks so pretty, and it looks like the fur babies will be right there to welcome the new princess home....It brings back so many memories from long ago....You enjoy every minute of this, and all the wonderful and the trying times ahead...Time goes so quickly, and like those of us that have much older kids and grandkids, we are still wondering where all those years went with our own babies...Just enjoy, and cuddle and enjoy some more...The fur babies will be fine with her...I always marvel how they seem to know that this new little person belongs here....Thanks for the memories....Cheryl

Ohhhh, too precious. Your nursery is beautiful and I know you'll spend a ton of hours on that comfy glider. Those are the best.
I feel the agony of your doodle's wanting all those stuffed animals. Malibu and Willow wouldn't be able to keep off of them and would have found a sneaky way into the crib to make them their own! Mali has a great love for monkeys, so that would be the first to disappear. lol

@ F Parker: mostly I just want it to feel good under my feet...doesn't have to be the cushiest =) It's hard to find a LARGE rug that matches a little girl's room. They are mostly all childish or small.

Ohhh, so cute! You are going to be a fantastic Mommy and those furry kids will love the baby girl to pieces! I would love to be a fly on the wall and see it all unfold! So much FUN!!
