Sad News About My Vet
I just found out tonight that my veterinarian has metastatic pancreatic cancer. She is a young, caring and wonderful vet. She has four kids under the age of 13. Full of life and enthusiasm, she exudes good cheer whenever you see her. She ran a marathon in November. I am so saddened by this news. I can't even begin to make sense of this.

Truly sad. Makes no sense to us at all. Kind thoughts for her and her family. Will pray for a miracle - they do happen sometimes.

So sorry to hear about your vet. We just lost two close friends within a month of each other to that horrible disease. One was just last Saturday. They worked with my DH for the past 30 years and one was 64 and the other 67. Both were in Viet Nam together so some people out there are wondering about Agent Orange. My father-in-law also died from the disease. All three of them lasted 30-60 days from diagnosis. It is an ugly, ugly disease!!! My heart just breaks for her family and all the people she will leave behind. Completely senseless!

F, such a shocking blow. I know that when the time comes you and Calla and Luca will miss her terribly. Thank you for posting such kind things about her. It demonstrates what a huge hole she will leave in this world when she's gone. Because of her, many precious pets will live. I commend her for that.....it's what she's dedicated her life to.
