Shaved, and three months later

When Traveler got shaved, November 18, I was wondering how long it would take for 'naked dog' to get his fuzzy on.  I think he's fuzzy enough now, so thought I would post before and after shots, for the doodle parents who are just now getting their first glimpes of their pup au naturel.  There are other great before and after shots on DK, so this is just one to add to the album.  :)  Does he look like the same dog?

I also have a taupe ALD.  I am thinking of cording him.  Something new for me also, but we have always done all our own grooming.  I have the time, so why not?

Oh Traveler looks so much more handsome now.  I just had a groomer take Sheila down exactly like that.  I was furious.  We're on one month now and I can still barely stand it!  I hate lazy groomers.  She said Sheila had too many knots (I told her ahead of time that both front legs had about 2 knots.  That's all.  I am a fanatical brusher.  Needless to say, I won't take her back to that groomer and Sheila has had various sweaters on all winter.  She shivers so.  She is only 9 lbs.

Bear is just so beautiful--he looks good fuzzy or trimmed down.

Bear had to get shaved, which I knew would had to happen.  I have got to find a brush, so he does not get so matted.........here is Bear with his shave:

The Jan pic was after he had the two inches cut off. The shave was in Aug.  Figured out he grows at least an inch per month!

Looks like they took more than 2 inches off the gorgeous Monty!  Cute cat photos too.  :)

Well, I think they are all cute anyway but the beautiful full shag really makes my heart melt. Monty and Sheeba seem like giants to us!! Summers's coming so I think we will have to eventually trim it at least

Aug 28, 2010AFTER his grooming in January.  They took 2 inches off him.

Big difference. It's always a shock, especially the first time. Sheeba went from an Apricot shaggy coat to a creamy short shave on her first time. I couldn't believe it was the same Sheeba, but it was. Good thing it doesn't take too long for their coat to grow back out. I love the shaggy look,  but Sheeba can only go so long with that look. Her next visit to the groomers will be a short cut =(
