Yesterday I received an excited call from my breeder, letting me know that the temperament testing had been completed and she and the tester believe they had the perfect pup for me.  It would be one of the females who has a beautiful red coat -- would I be okay with that? Ummm, yes!!

 

So, today I got to meet my puppy in person... and she is honestly the sweetest little thing. So curious, playful, and loving. She ran around (in what I can only imagine is what I hear lovingly referred to as 'the zoomies'), showed off, and also snuggled in my arms. I'm smitten.

 

I've been trying to decide on the perfect name, and am leaning towards Ember (although I've gotten some other really great suggestions, too). Who knew it would be such a tough decision. Puppy isn't coming home until the 28th, so there is a little bit of time.

 

I have been reading all the blogs and posts, joining groups, and trying to learn all that I can... but as a newbie, let me say that there is a LOT of information out there!! Even wading through the Food and Grooming groups is overwhelming. I suggest a DK Puppy Guide for Dummies. :) 

 

I'm so excited to be bringing my puppy home, and all the fun and love that lies ahead. <3

Jen, she is just adorable.  I love the wavy/curly red hair!  I like the name Ember, unique. You said you have gotten a lot of great suggestions, so I will just say, Happy puppy naming!  It took my DH and I several hours after Dublin was home to name him.  I mean we stayed up til weeee hours in the night and just watched him to see if we could get a name from that!  NOPE, just went based on the name and sound we liked, especially for training.

What a beautiful coat she will have by the looks of this picture. Very nice coloring too. I know we never really know how they will end up looking 100%, but my experience has been that the breeder has a good idea. You have to take the Food and Grooming groups in small doses or it will get very overwhelming. And I've been on her for over 3 years!!!  Ember is a very cute and unique name. I like it.

Jen, what a cute picture!!  I love how the pup's fur compliments your own hair...lol...it was just meant to be.  I know the next few weeks are going to feel like they are dragging by but she will be here before you know it.
