I hate to say it, but I have to come to terms with it eventually. My 'supposedly' sweet and innocent "Pooh Bear" has a dark side. That's right, there's no denying it any longer. I have photographic evidence of his misdeeds. Poor Sophie Bear will never be the same again.

And to think, I trusted him!

He is Winnie the Pooh no longer. Winston the Wicked is his new name, and ripping up innocent creatures is his game.

First, he tore the face right off this cat:

Then he ripped the head right off of this squirrel:  NOT Piggy too!!! The first toy I ever bought Sophie Bear. How my heart aches. RIP Piggy!

What should I do with the guilty culprit?

Get busy kissing the heck out of those sweet doods. At least if you are kissing them they cannot be ripping the toys apart ;o)

Hmmm....I don't think being smothered in cuddles and kisses on the nose without letting them squirm away could be construed as cruel or unusual punishment. I say, the sentence should be carried out immediately!

It was not an intruder. I've come to realize that Winston has an accomplice! Sophie has been encouraging Winston to play tug with her toys. That is why they are all breaking apart. They are both bad doodles and deserve nothing less then being smothered in cuddles and kisses on the nose without letting them squirm away. That should teach them!

Winston! Say it isn't so! You were framed! An intruder snuck in when your mom wasn't looking, ripped up the stuffies, planted the evidence, and ran out the door! That's really what happened, wasn't it?

Sherri, take another look at that face! How could that face be guilty?

By the way... I go to the goodwill store and go to their bins, pull and tug pretty hard on the stuffed animals to see which ones might hold up best to their chewing and tug of war games. Very cheap toys there.

lmao, we've discovered duct tape to hold them together temporarily, but it's only a short term fixed. We have many dead stuffed animals in the graveyard!

More toys! My ALD goes through tons of them, but better the toys than my things.  Some dogs just have the "killer instinct".  And make sure to put up anything you don't want chewed up.  Yesterday it was some panties, and last week a nice lycra swimsuit.  (The swimsuit was hanging in the laundry room but within reach of a dog on his tippytoes.)  Lots of slippers, shoes, etc.  Latest, however, is the wall in the corner of the bathroom.  Apparently when our house was recently fumigated, a mouse died behind the wall, and Harpo is determined to get that mouse out of the wall.  And the wall is faux painted!  Luckily we have some of the three colors that was left over.  We will probably end up cutting a hole in the wall, removing the mouse, and putting in some new sheetrock and then repainting.  Luckily we are retired and have the time to walk around behind our dogs doing repairs!
