I'm jealous of the $35 - $45 haircuts!  I had to go view where you guys lived. :-)   It costs me $100-$130 and I've got two!   I have had a "tidy clean" that was less..but still more than what you paid for a full groom.  Heck, I pay $25 just to use a self-grooming station and I do all the work. LOL!    Last week I had a mobile groomer come to the driveway.  He did a nice job but was still the same price as the other two I rotate between.

What a great cut!  Gavin looks GREAT!!!  $45 is a great price. I love his coloring and he has a beautiful tail and adorable face.  Your captions and photos are great and they gave me a good chuckle.

The groomer I took my guys to the last couple times charged $35.00 each.  This price included bath, cut and nails and she did a pretty good job.  I made sure I removed any matts before I took them to her.  This is a great price considering all she did and the fact that Duke is 70+ lbs and Sheba is around 57 lbs.  I had a broken foot last year that took a while to heal so it was difficult to groom my dogs myself.  

A couple of weeks ago I gave them both a "homemade haircut".  This was the worst job I've ever done grooming!!!  I won't post the pictures as I will embarrass Sheba and Duke.  My husband asked me several times when I was going to get rid of their bobble head.  I told him when I could get some new grooming tools!!  lol

Wow! $45 for a beautiful trim! I just mentioned to my daughter how grateful I am that I am able to clip the boys since it would cost me at least $120 each every two months (no nail trim or ear cleaning). Not only was it more money than you are paying, I didn't like the work they did either, and poor Kona shook from the time we dropped him off to the time we picked him up. I'm so glad you have this service.

Thanks for all of the positive comments everyone. 

I would say his body is about an inch long and his legs are 1.5 to 2 inches.  His short cut really shows off his peaches and cream colouring that gets totally lost when his hair is long. 

Laurie if anyone wants to know the difference in appearance between an F2 labradoodle and an F1 goldendoodle, we just need to show them pictures of Vern and Gavin. 

Gavin welcomes all female suitor(ettes) but they need to know that he will never be a "family man."

It will make you all jealous to know that my wonderful and very kind groomer only charges $45 (incl. tax) for a full cut and groom including nail trim and ear cleaning.  I could never justify doing it myself for that price!
