A while back I started adding a dab of cat food as a topper on Tara's meals. Of course she thought this was THE BEST and quickly stopped eating her meals unless they had the cat food topper on them! Recently I bought a can of TOTW dog food and thought I would try using it to replace the cat food topper. WELL, when the cat smelled the canned dog food SHE wanted to try it! Soooo....I put a little on her food. You know where this is going...
Now I have a DOG that won't eat her food without a CAT food topper AND
A CAT that won't eat her food without a DOG food topper!!!
OMD! I guess the grass really is greener on the other side of the pet food aisle!!!

So funny.....I think many of us have created our own "Doodle Monsters".
I have a feeling there are a lot of doodle mommies out there who are slipperless and remoteless!
LOL, that is just hilarious!
Ricki, This is hysterical! What do we get ourselves into???
Ricki, When you figure out how to get your two to bring you your slippers and remote control, fill me in, so I can get Fudge and Vern to do the same. I started giving them a little peanut butter and now you can't open the jar without two doodles showing up. I think Tara and Amber are tops.....LOL!!
They don't care if you're grumpy as long as you do the job, pass the toppers please.
Sue I'm really not cut out to be "staff". I'm grumpy staff. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around. I thought dogs were supposed to bring their people their slippers and the remote control and that sort of thing. When does that start happening? I guess since I outsmarted Donna I should be able to outsmart a cat and a doodle! I think they are just a little smarter than Donna! LOL!
I just thought of something as I was fixing B and M their dinner. They eat PROMPTLY at 5:00! I am back into more homecooking than kibble this week, and since Bella is a little more stubborn in personality than Murphy, I decided to use the kibble as a topper, so they don't get so used to homecooking that it's a problem when I don't have time to cook.
I think you will be able to outsmart them in the end Ricki. And remember what they also say, "they will eventually eat when they're hungry enough" Hard to do though. But the alternative is ALWAYS being the staff!!
LOL Sue!!! YES! The only difference is that both the cat and dog are hairier at my house!!
