This is the guy waiting on his new big brother or sister.  We are starting to get things ready.  I do have a question?  Do you have insurance?  I am considering insurance so if there are any suggestions on what to get.  I am also planning on getting this dog microchipped.  We saw a mini doodle at the vet today it was so cute.

Definitely recommend the pet insurance and getting it the day you get the puppy.  Many will have an initial waiting period, ours had 5 days for accidents and 30 days for illness.  As our youngest got a hairline fracture on his back leg (playing too hard) on day 8, I was very glad to have it. Even more glad we were past the 5 day waiting period for accidents.  Also cuts down on the chance of the infamous pre-existing condition clause in policies.  Ours came home microchipped and I think that every bit of protection helps.  Our vet routinely scans at their annual visit to make sure it's still working and we know where it is (sometimes they move around a little).  Good luck.  Exciting times!!

Definitely recommend insurance!  My doodles are both very healthy so far (both are only 2 years old), but...Bexter has a fetish for socks.  He recently ate one and only vomited a small part of it up and we had to get surgery.  My insurance company (Pet Plan) paid every bit of it (minus my deductible).  I love knowing that heaven forbid something did happen, that I wouldn't have to choose between my doodle and money.  I also like Pet Plan because you can set your own plan, including deductible and percent they will cover.  Congrats!

Hi. I have Pets Best insurance, am very happy with them my doodle is 9 months old and have used twice with about 70 to 80% return. Yes on microchip too, good idea. Breezy came to me at 8 weeks microchipped and spaded.

Get pet insurance now!  It is for emergency situations (mine doesn't even cover annual checkups).  A gastro surgery could cost you $6,000, but insurance would cover it - that could happen if your doodle eats a sock!  Cute pic of your current dog :)  Congrats!

I recommend pet insurance.  I have no problem with the small things but got it in the event of a catastrophic illness or injury.

I strongly recommend Pet Insurance.  There are many different companies and plans out there and it depends on what you want in coverage!  I feel it is very important and well worth the cost of your plan.
