We had a close call, we almost lost our number in the pack. We were number 9 out of 9. We were informed that the runt got sick and was not developing and passed away. So sad!!! Well another person moved to a different litter so now we are 8 of 8. I hope they all stay healthy and growing. We were suppose to get pics on the weekend and we have not really been getting them on time. I know they are busy but I am checking my email all the time. The chances are good I will get a boy. I was hoping on a girl but not many girls in this litter. So does anyone have only boys? How do they get along? I know my dog is missing a doggie companion. This puppy is gonna be busy, busy but I am so excited I can't stand it. :)

The picture is me with my Grace girl before she passed away, she was Pings alpha leader and he is still missing her I can tell. So hopefully he will embrace this new puppy no matter girl or boy. I am waiting for this weeks pics. Last weeks pics were horrible. They were taken with a cell phone because her camera broke. So hoping for some good ones this week.
Oh thanks for all the reassurance. We have been having so many problems with Ping lately, he just got pneumonia but he is feeling a little better, my dad just passed away from esophageal cancer, my step dad just had a car accident in which he passed out at the wheel and they found lesions on his brain, my grandma died and my other Boston passed away. It has been a rough year so I am extra excited about this new little baby dog. I need something to focus on training and seeing my kids happy. I love the stories about your dogs and the pics, I can't seem to get enough of them. :)
So sorry to her about the little one. Hope all goes your way and you can bring your doodle home.
We were at the parade yesterday and saw a baby doodle puppy waddling along on his leash, melted my heart!
Also saw a black doodle puppy, they are popping up everywhere!
I have three males without a problem. My dd has two males. My dil has a male and a female. We can all get together without problems. The only thing that has happened when all are together is that one dog might mark once somewhere in the house - never more than one dog and never more than once during a visit.
I did the email thing too! My breeder would always post late at night (probably the only time she had!) so if I woke up in the middle of the night (and I always did when I was waiting for Myla LOL) I would go to the computer! My DH thought I was nuts BUT he always asked if there was something when I got back to bed - and if there was he would get up to look at the pictures (pretending that he was just doing it for me so that I would go back to bed!) I only have one doodle but I'm sure that your breeder breeds for temperament and it won't matter! Good luck!!!!!
We have three males. Two of them are 2 years old and the other will be 1 later this month. They are the most loving dogs anyone could imagine. I would not have it any other way. Just like people, they do not always get along and have their scuffles. But, it is nothing serious, over in a flash and then they are all in a pile to take a nap. They play rough but all seem to like it that way. I got them a big ball today and they had a game of doodle soccer (pic below). Honestly, I don't think it really matters with if you have two boys, two girls or one of each. I think the most important thing is the temperament. Good luck with either a boy or a girl. You will have a blast!
I did the same thing checking my email all the time waiting for pictures!
I've got two boys. The second one was supposed to be a girl, but there was not enough girls in the litter. I now actually love having two of the same sex. Boy and girl is a cute combo, but two boys get along equally well. Our breeder said 2 girls might be a bit problematic.
I understand the email checking...I did the same thing :) We have two males...4 & 1 and they get along great...they seem to understand each other...Oskar is a selfish brat who steals toys & Baker doesn't care...but when Baker doesn't like something, a low growl is all it takes for Oskar to back off. They will sleep together if Oskar snuggles up, they play a lot & look for each other when one is 'missing'...very cute dynamic.
