Mom said our walk this morning was ‘the walk from hell,’ and we have to get back to some ‘serious training.’ Jeez, I just wanted to romp around and then lie down and wait for that little dog I could see coming. I was going to leap up at the last minute and play with her, but her mom turned around and went the other way. Mom says I look scary when I just lie down with my head on the grass and stare intently at whoever or whatever is coming our way, and that isn’t the proper way to greet either dogs or people.
Mom tugged on the leash to get me up and my harness came right off over my head! I didn’t know it could do that–wish I’d found out sooner ‘cause this is a great way to get to play. I started to run after the little dog, but mom said the serious ‘Come’ command, so I stopped to see if she wanted to throw a ball for me or give me some treats. Nope. She just attached the leash to my collar and said some bad words and then I had to go home.
I hope we can do another ‘walk from hell’ tomorrow.

Thanks, Roo and Chloe. It really is confusing. Mom has told me to sit sometimes when there's a dog coming, and I was doing even better--lying down! I like to hop and jump too, but I don't bark very often. Hope you all have some GREAT walks!

I know, one day it's ok to say hi and the next you have to act like you're trained or something! Myla has to walk like a princess when she's by herself, but she doesn't know 1/2 the people I know so of course she looks like she walks better. When I see my peeps I walk on my 2 hind legs and hop until I reach them and mom gets mad at dad because he lets me do it! Parents are so confusing I think they need to go back to training and let us be DOGS!! Good luck tomorrow Traveler!
