The Whistle

So my mom and dad have been trying to teach me to come when this loud sound comes out of this toy they put in their mouths, I think they call it a whissle. I have been doing pretty well, coming in from outside when the noise happens and my mom is there waiting with a piece of carnivore crunch YUM...Well today we went to the dog park, I found this really cute Standard Poodle to run around with, she was fast but not as FAST as me. So mom wants to get my attention and she blows the whissle thing, and I see a bag in her hand that I think MUST BE carnivore crunch but alas it is only my peanut butter treats. However my mom was SO happy I came at the dog park she gave me all sorts of hugs and loves (YAY)

So then we go home and mom and dad are distracted so I head up to their bedroom to see what kind of mischief I can cause since I am being wholly neglected :( Well mom notices that I am going up without permission (I am not allowed to be upstairs without parental supervision--but WHATEVA) anyway I hear the whissle toy thing and before I can think I head to the kitchen expecting to get my treat, however I FORGOT I had one of my dad's socks in my mouth....DARNIT No treat for me. That was sad.

Later in the evening I was in the family room while my parents were watching the box that has people in it (how do they get in there anyway?) I don't know what the people were doing but they were running on a field like I do at the dog park and the whissle noise happened. I got up and looked around-my parents were in the room so where did this noise come from? I had to search the whole house looking for the noise so I could get my treat, but I never found the whissle. I will do more investigating tomorrow, but right now I have to go to bed and dream about that beautiful Black Standard Poodle....

LOL....you and Wheezy must be twins!!! She runs with socks all the time and gets them out of Mom's basket before she can get them folded!!! Good job on going to your mom and dad when you hear that noise!!

Whistles, barks and doorbells get us goin on the box too!! But when mom and dad play ball on the Wii, I can't figure out where that ball goes and why I can't find it!! - Rosey:)

The box should not be able to make sounds such as: barking, squeaky toys, doorbells, honking horns--just like radio was not permitted to make Emergency Siren sounds!

The box with the people in it is weird.... isn't it. I don't know about this whissle noise... but I hear the doorbell sometimes and get excited but no one is at the door or in the driveway - I can tell when I look out the big window in my mom's office. Mom says it comes from the TV. What's a TV? That black standard poodle sounds like fun..... sweet dreams!

Lucy and Sophie here ...... yeah we fell for that once ...... we had to go inside! Well, we decided we won't fall for that again! Don't know why Mom needs a whistle anyway, she knows we will come inside when we are ready! What's the hurry.

Hey Snickers we don't have a whistlely thing at our house but we DO have one of those boxes with the tiny people in it. Sometimes ours has tiny DOGS too and they bark. I have to run all over the house because I think they have gotten out of the box. I never find them though.

I think my first dad must have given me treats when he whissled 'cause I come to my forever dad every time he puts his fingers in his mouth and makes that noise - even when I am outside barking at stuff. He always says good boy, but I don't get any treats. I think I am going to hold out for some treats from now on.
