Carriage HIll Kennel in Glenview recently built an indoor doggie pool. We decided to take Snickers for a lesson since they were offering $15 off the first lesson. The idea is to first get the dog interested in the pool an later do group lessons. As you can see from the pictures he had fun although he was a bit hesitant at first!

He even did a come when called-water style!

After his water adventure he was tuckered out but we will be going back again soon!

I've never heard of a dog pool except for physical therapy!  Mater would LOVE it!  He adores water and swimming, hoses, sprinklers - any way to get wet!

It would be great to make a place like this. What a fun investment and business

There is a pool in NYC for dogs, maybe for physical therapy. When I've looked online for places to take the dogs to swim it always comes up.

@nancie and gracei doodle casey, the pool is at a local kennel, they actually specifically built the indoor pool for exercise in the winter for dogs. It is not a chlorinated pool but instead uses copper pipe to somehow filtrate, they charge for 30 minute lessons/swim time and then they take them in back and brush and blowdry them. It is really is a unique concept and seems to be catching on, they expect business to really pick up in the winter since sometimes it is so cold.

I think I am seeing a business opportunity here!!! Pools for dogs only and you could go and pay a small fee in increments of 15 minutes. That or if someone has a backyard pool, kids are grown and it doesn't get use. Start a backyard neighborhood business!!! The way the Commercial Real Estate business is right now here in San Diego, maybe my husband and I should entertain this idea. We don't have a pool and if we did I would be in it all the time!! But a warehouse type building with a pool for dogs???? Not a bad idea!

Neely went for a swim last week at my sons girlfriends salt water pool with her dog Reginald. He was exhausted that night. He came home and laid in his spot behind the sofa and I did a few little tidy up things then called him to bed. He was sound asleep. No moving for him. His eyes shut before the thud he makes when he lays down!

I wish we had a doggie pool close by. I would love for Harlow to swim on a regular basis.
